Why I Started TRANSactions™
TRANSactions™ began with a simple idea.
One day, I realized I had about $240 in credit card cash-back rewards. Instead of spending it on myself, I used it to buy gender-affirming clothing for trans youth. A few days later, during a trip to Red Wing, Minnesota, I visited an outlet store and turned that rewards money into more than $1,200 worth of men's shirts, sweaters, jackets, and other clothing.
That experience inspired TRANSactions™ and its simple message:
If you support trans youth, check your credit card rewards. Consider using those "free" dollars to help provide gender-affirming clothing.
You can donate through The Patricence Foundation, support organizations like Rainbow Wardrobe in Minneapolis, or help a similar program in your own community.
My favorite approach is to shop for the clothing yourself. Hunt for outlet bargains, clearance racks, and sales. Then deliver the clothing personally and see the impact your generosity can have.

Outlet stores are a fantastic way to make your dollars go further—and you don't have to use credit card rewards. Your own money works just fine! I've also found that if you tell store employees you're shopping for clothing to donate to trans youth, they may be willing to help with additional discounts or special deals. It's happened to me, and every dollar saved means more clothing can reach the young people who need it.
